Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, 1986 - 1992 gelatin silver prints, 11 x 14 inches Medium format images made in and around the neighborhoods where I lived and worked. These photographs reflect my feelings about Philadelphia in this time period. They are spacially closed off. The sky and the horizon almost never appears. They focus on the ground and walls, murals and signage, trash and graffiti, buidlings in various states of decay.
